- Composer/Arranger for the score of the 1996
Missouri Repertoire Theater production of “The Misanthrope.”
- Playing piano since age 7, Scott was selected by
Stan Kenton as the best high school jazz pianist in South Carolina at a
statewide jazz band competition.
- Received a music scholarship from the University
of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Studied classical piano with John McIntyre and jazz piano
with the late George Salisbury, performed with the Conservatory Jazz Band
in the Montreux International Jazz Festival-Montreux, Switzerland, and
graduated with a Bachelor of Music Theory degree.
- Published by a major publisher, Hal Leonard, and
one choral piece, “The Shepherd Song,” had its European debut at the
Salzburg Music Festival in Austria in 1989 and was featured on the Bach
Society of St. Louis Christmas concert in December 2003.
- Recorded 6 albums including two all-original
compilations, “Across the Board,” an
all-instrumental album that reached No. 1 in the Jazz Ambassador magazine
in 1987, and “Living Inside The Light”, a
Contemporary Christian vocal/instrumental album released in November of
2006.
- Cellist with the Windstring Trio, performing light
jazz/bossa nova, contemporary, and classical music.
